So far, the New Orleans Pelicans have had a great season – much to the delight of their fans. The team has been playing exceptionally well, with key players stepping up to the plate and delivering impressive performances. The Pelicans have the best record in the Western Conference despite losing All-star Brandon Ingram to an injury.
One of the standout players this season has been All-star forward Zion Williamson. Williamson, who was injured all of last season, has been a force to be reckoned with on the court. He has been scoring at a high rate and has also been a facilitator for his teammates, consistently getting them the ball in good scoring positions. This season, Zion Williamson is averaging 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists while shooting 60%.
Another key contributor to the Pelicans’ success has been point guard CJ McCollum. McCollum, who came to the Pelicans from the Portland Trail Blazers, has been playing some of the most unselfish basketball of his career. He has been assisting the ball at a high rate and getting his teammates involved. His unselfishness has made a huge impact on the Pelicans success.
The Pelicans’ win streak has not just been about individual performances, however. The team has been playing well as a unit, with players moving the ball and playing unselfishly on offense. Players like Tre Murphy, Larry Nance Jr. and Jose Alvarado have been playing their role perfectly and stepping up when needed.
So far, the Pelicans’ season has been a thrilling experience for their fans. With Brandon Ingram returning, a talented young core, and a solid supporting cast, the Pelicans are definitely a team to watch in the coming weeks and months.
